Emergency First Response EFR
What is all this course with diving?
This course is unique and no first aids practice in the water is performed.
It serves as a first step for the next course Rescue Diver.
You’ve gained knowledge about diving to advanced level, you have under your belt a lot of diving experiences, the next step is to be qualified to solve problems with other divers.
The Emergency First Response EFR course gives you the knowledge to respond in case to seeing a person in distress, either diving or in any environment. Actually, it is the only course that we certify in Pata Negra Dive Center does not belong to PADI directly, although most PADI Instructors is also Emergency First Response EFR Instructor or better known as “EFR” for short. Every good diver, but could even enlarge the spectrum saying that everyone should know how to help someone else right in the moment when you have an accident or a medical problem.
The Emergency First Response EFR course will teach you the techniques to be able to assess a problem, how to act according to circumstances and help with professionalism and knowledge to others.
In the course Emergency First Response EFR you’ll learn:
– Basic Life Support CPR and rescue breathing.
– Prevention and treatment of a shock.
– How to act with a person injured in the spine.
– How to protect yourself to reduce your risk of disease transmission.
– How to use a first aid kit. Optionally, such as using an independent external defibrillator (AED).
Study with a video and book all cases that may occur, we will review lessons learned to exercise and take you to practice. Once the course is completed, you’re ready for the next level, Rescue Diver.
We offer courses with a PADI Instructor in english and spanish.
